Ip Ching is one of the five grandmasters of the Wing Chun Gung Fu association who is still alive today. Grandmaster Ip Ching was born in Foshan, China in 1936. He started to train with his older brother Ip Chun at a very young age. Ip Ching was also taught by Grandmaster Ip Man, as he was Ip Man's own son. Even though he was taught by the best Ip Man sonn had to leave and go to Hong Kong to search for a better life for him and his family. In the year of 1962 the family happily reunited and soon enough Ip Ching was once again learning Wing Chun under Ip Man. Ip Man taught from home and this is currently where Ip Ching resides. Ip Ching learned not only from being taught but he closely and carefully studied what Ip Man taught his other students. Ip Ching was teaching by this time and in 1972 his father passed away. Ip Ching continued to teach Wing Chun while he ran a manufacturing business. In 1994 grandmaster Ip Ching retired from his manufacturing business and decided to teach Wing Chun to the world.
